Removing Roadblocks to Effective Collaboration

It could be argued that Lotus Notes was the grand-daddy of collaboration solutions. In recent years, all people talk about is SharePoint. Unfortunately, both of these solutions cost enormous amounts of money to implement, develop and maintain. An article recently published on PCWorld ("Security Concerns Hinder Adoption of Social Networking") claims that a major roadblock to the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies in business revolves around security.
