IDENTITY MANAGER

netiq-idm Identity Manager (IDM) provides organizations with a central identity vault that can grant and revoke access to all of your different systems. Administrators can decide which directory will be the authoritative identity source and all accounts can be propagated from there. This could be your network directory, an HR system or even a home-built database application.

All identity provisioning (and de-provisioning!) is done according to policies that reflect your business processes and workflows. Automating identity management prevents human error that can slip in during the creation of accounts in multiple systems, and thus ensures compliance.

IDM can manage identities not only in your internal network, but can also be used to control user accounts in cloud services such as Google Apps and Office 365. Unlike the free tools provided by Microsoft, for example, IDM will not only provision the accounts but also assign the proper licenses to the users.

IDM also includes a Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) tool that provides users with a web portal through which they can change their passwords or even request a password change using a challenge-response mechanism. This can help eliminate many calls to you service desk personnel.

Talk to us about IDM and learn how you can help automate identities across your network.
