Access Manager can handle all SSL encryption needs for your web services, thereby off-loading these servers from the burden of encrypting traffic to the clients; it can protect web applications and resources by requiring users to authenticate before accessing them, and can even authorize – based on identity – whether a user can access a given resource. Once authenticated, Access Manager can also pass credentials along to other applications so that users do not need to authenticate into each applications; this can also include providing single sign-on to Microsoft Office 365.
Standards-based federation capabilities also means that you can provide authentication mechanisms to other systems; and since Access Manager also supports multi-factor authentication, you can rest assured that access to these systems remains secured.
